Seeking a meeting with the Principal (open)

Cara brushed down the pant suit she was wearing before she walked into the school office and up to the securtary's desk. "Excuse me, Ma'am?" She said quietly to get the woman's attention. "I was wondering if I would be able to speak with Mrs Lewis? That is if she isn't busy. If she is, it isn't important."

She studied the top of the desk, not wanting to look at the woman behind the desk, knowing how pale her face looked beneath her copper coloured skin, but right now she had other things to think about than her own health.

((want someone to play the seceratary??? and principal??))

The plump woman behind the desk was busy on the computer. Her fingers were flying over the keyboard. She glanced at the young girl and turned back to her work, "Mrs. Lewis is having a meeting with some faculty. It will be over in about 5 minutes," the woman replied obviosley more concentrated on her work.

"You can have a seat and go in when the door opens," she instructed.

"Thank you, Ma'am." Cara replied softly.

Walking away from the desk, she headed over to the seats, but rather than siting down, she remained on her feet lightly bouncing up and down on the toes of her ballet flats.

When the principal's door opened, she swallowed hard, counted to thirty and walked to the door. Tapping gently, she looked around the door frame. "Excuse me, Ma'am? If you have a spare few minutes, I would greatly like to speak with you about my classes."

The kind principal welcomed the young girl in with a smile, "Please, have a seat," she encouraged.

Mrs. Lewis pulled some of her wavy auborn hair ((don't know what she's suppossed to look like)) from her face. Her smile showed perfectly white and straight teeth, and she wasn't wearing her reading glasses. The woman quickly cleared off part of her desk of papers and crossed her hands on the brown wooden surface waiting for the girl to take a seat across from her in the blue chair.

"So what is wrong with your classes dear?" she asked.

"Thank you." Cara said as she took a seat.

She drew in a deep breath. "There is nothing wrong with my classes, Ma'am." She beagan, quickly looking up at the woman before looking at her knees again. "I just feel that they aren't doing a lot for me. With your permission, I would like to change some of the courses I am doing. Of course, that is if the teachers say it is alright as well." She clasped and unclasped her hands on her lap. "I would like to move up to the second algebra class. I would also like to study chemistry, rather than earth science. And, if I may. I would like to be able to take another math course, rather than drama. It's not that I don't enjoy the drama course, but I feel that academically I would do better in another class. I would like to do calculus." She blew out a breath when she was finished and waited to hear what Mrs Lewis would say to her request.

OOC: I sent reagan a PM and she said it was all good.

The principal's eyes grew slightly worried, "Dear, that is an aweful lot of homework to do..." she sighed, "but if it's what you want, and you know you can handle it, I'll change your courses."

"I'll call the teachers and get you a message back as soon as possible," she smiled, "Anything else i can do for you?"

Cara shrugged off the homework comment. "I excell at what I do, Ma'am." She replied simply. "It's the one thing that adults seem to like about me." She flashed a ghost of a smile. "Thank you for your time, Ma'am. And no, there is nothing else."

Rising to her feet, she bowed her head toward the woman and left the room.
